Brew paddle
The brew paddle on this machine isn't only aesthetically pleasing, it is also functional of course. It controls the initiation and stopping of the brewing process. The brew paddle has 2 key characteristics. The first one is variable flow control, or in other words you can manually adjust the pressure applied to the coffee puck during extraction. The second one is that it facilitates a pre-infusion stage. This means that water will be gently introduced to the coffee grounds before full pressure is applied.
