All about the Sage Barista Express – Built-in grinder

The Barista Express has a conical burr grinder built into the machine that grinds straight into the 54 mm portafilter, so you go from whole bean to espresso on one appliance. You tamp by hand and texture the milk yourself with the steam wand, which makes it a machine to learn the full barista workflow on. Thermocoil heating with PID keeps the brew water at 93 °C.
