        Why use a water filter?
        Since coffee is 98% water, the quality of that water plays a crucial role in the final taste. The ClaroSwiss water filter not only prevents limescale buildup but also preserves essential minerals while removing unwanted elements like chlorine, lead, and copper. This helps maintain the purity of your coffee and extends the lifespan of your machine.

        A handy month indicator on the filter allows you to track when it was installed, making it easier to remember when to replace it.

        How to install the water filter
        1. Remove the water reservoir from your Sage espresso machine and discard any remaining water.
        2. Clean the reservoir thoroughly.
        3. Insert the new filter into the reservoir, pushing it down while making a slight twisting motion.
        4. Refill the reservoir with fresh water and place it back into the machine.
        5. Run a rinse cycle to flush out any air bubbles or loose particles.
        6. Your machine is now ready to brew high-quality coffee.

        How to use Sage Steam Wand Cleaner

        1. Empty one 10g sachet of Sage Steam Wand Cleaner into an empty milk jug.
        2. Add approximately 250ml of hot water.
        3. Remove the steam tip and place it in the jug along with the steam wand.
        4. Let the components soak for at least 1 hour.
        5. Clean the steam tip thoroughly and reattach it.
        6. Submerge the steam wand in the solution and run a short steam cycle (about 10 seconds).
        7. Discard the cleaning solution (it’s biodegradable) and rinse the milk jug.
        8. Fill the jug with fresh hot water, place the steam wand inside, and run another short steam cycle.
        9. Wipe the steam wand dry with a clean cloth, and you’re done!
